asmPolitics-75 [Maxine Waters & Farrakhan]

WATCH: Dem. Rep. Maxine Waters Greets Anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan With Open, Loving Arms

Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) happily and warmly embraced America's leading anti-Semite, Nation of Islam (NOI) leader Louis Farrakhan. She did so at an event where Farrakhan defended Palestinian suicide bombers.

In the speech, Farrakhan attacked the U.S. for providing Israel with planes and other weapons, and suggested that these actions caused the Palestinian suicide bombings.

"The Palestinians have nothing to defend themselves with, so they're so exhausted and exasperated, think about that, strapping bombs to themselves, making themselves a weapon," the NOI leader said.
“And then for the world to get upset because Iran or somebody is trying to send them some weapons. Wait a minute. If you were Jewish and you saw unarmed Jews being persecuted, wouldn’t you come to your brothers’ aid? Do you expect Muslims to see their brothers suffering like that and not come to their aid?”

Just last week, the Republican Jewish Coalition called on seven Democrats (including Waters) to resign from Congress due to their support for Farrakhan. Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) introduced a resolutioncondemning the NOI leader for "promoting ideas that create animosity and anger" toward Jewish Americans and toward Judaism, and condemning "all manifestations of expressions of racism, anti-Semitism, and ethnic or religious intolerance."
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has dubbed Farrakhan "the leading anti-Semite in America," who for 30 years "has espoused and promoted anti-Semitism and racism" and "has repeatedly alleged that the Jewish people were responsible for the slave trade, as well as the 9/11 attacks."

The ADL compiled a video of Farrakhan's most anti-Semitic statements. Among other things, the NOI leader declared, "You are not the chosen of God. You are the chosen of Satan."

During the Nation of Islam's "Saviours' Day" convention on February 25, the anti-Semite declared, "White folks are going down. And Satan is going down. And Farrakhan, by God's grace, has pulled the cover off of that Satanic Jew and I'm here to say your time is up, your world is through." He posted the entire speech on Facebook.

While the Southern Poverty Law Center's "hate group" list has many problems, it is generally reliable when it comes to racial hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan and black separatist groups. The SPLC has rightly labeled the Nation of Islam a "hate group" in this vein.
“There is no place in our civil discourse for this clear anti-Semitism and hate for another group of human beings,” Rokita said in a statement. “I urge my House colleagues to join me in condemning Louis Farrakhan’s hateful and anti-Semitic attacks, while also reaffirming our nation’s commitment to our Jewish neighbors and our greatest ally, the nation of Israel.”
